Instructions to make a homemade table football for children

If you want to know how to build your own homemade table football, we are going to explain step by step everything you have to do to do it:

Creation of the players

First we are going to make the playersFor this we will use clothespins and wooden balls (you can use buttons, for example, as an alternative).

  1. First you must fix the balls to the base of the peg using the glue gun, doing the process with the 10 pegs to get 5 players per team. However, depending on the size of the box you may need more tweezers and balls.
  2. Next, you will paint the upper part of the clip with a brush and acrylic paint, painting half the players one color and the other half another. This will differentiate the teams. With a black permanent, you will draw the players’ faces on the wooden ball.

Creation of the playing field

  1. Then proceed to the creation of the playing field, you must use a cardboard box. For this you can use from a fruit box to a shoe box or any other longitudinal cardboard. To adapt it to the field you will have to start by cutting on the shorter sides to create the goals.
  2. Then make four holes in each of the longest sides. Depending on the size of the tweezers you will have to make them at one or another height. For example, for 7 cm tweezers, it is recommended that they are 5.5 cm from the base and that there is a distance between them of about 6.5 cm.
  3. Once this is done, it is time for you to take a green cardboard that is the same size as the base of the box and draw the lines of the field with chalk.
  4. Then you have to place the cardboard on the base of the box, it being advisable to stick it with double-sided tape so that it does not move and is perfectly fixed.

Table football assembly

  1. When you have already created the players and the playing field itself, it will be time to start setting up the football. This is the last step in this process that will allow children to have a homemade table football in their own home.
  2. To start its assembly, you have to insert the players on the wooden skewers, inserting them in turn into the holes that have been created on the sides of the box.
  3. To prevent these skewers from getting out of the game field, you must add some perforated balls with the glue gun. Likewise, you will also have to use the gun to fix the players to the skewers and prevent them from moving during the game.
  4. Once this is done, you will only have to place double-sided tape around the goals, fixing the mesh to it so that it acts as a goalkeeper net. In this way you will already have created your homemade table football and you will only need a wooden ball to play with.
